Melanie Kimmelman

A native New Yorker, Melanie has worked for more than 14 years in public relations, communications, and brand building. She has cultivated and nurtured relationships with top-tier media across consumer lifestyle, fitness and wellness, women’s and men’s fashion, and broadcast television spheres and has continued to prove that her Rolodex is her biggest capital.

She began her PR career in the art world – first at the Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington, DC, and then at mega-gallery David Zwirner in New York City. In an unsurprising move, Melanie shifted lanes and joined cult-favorite brand MZ Wallace where she created and implemented brand publicity strategies for all product launches and collections, including the company’s inaugural men’s collection.

Prior to establishing herself as an independent publicity agent, Melanie served as Vice President at the boutique communications firm Hunt & Gather, where she led media relations and strategy for their roster of consumer clients, including Barry’s, Athleta, iFIT, Snapchat, Movember, Warner Music Artist & Fan Experiences (WMX), among others. From launching Barry’s X, the brand’s inaugural digital community, to supporting Athleta’s partnerships with Simone Biles, Allyson Felix, and Alicia Keys and announcing iFIT’s latest venture into adjustable dumbbells, Melanie not only proved that her Rolodex was accurate, but that it is always ever expanding to keep up with today’s changing media landscape.

Melanie currently serves as a media maven to well-known brands, businesses, and, sometimes, individuals and authors, including Fabletics, Strava, Tone House, Liz Plosser, The Absorption Company, Strong New York, At Present, and the New York Times authored book The Fall of Roe: The Rise of a New America.

She has a BA in Art History from George Washington University and an MA in Art Business from Sotheby’s Institute of Art in New York. She is a multi-time marathoner and a regular at the half marathon finish line. Unknown to most, Melanie also holds a black belt in Tae Kwon Do.
